Huffington Play Her Role...

It didn't take long. I figured the Huffington Post would produce heaps of new grist for the mill, and Arianna Huffington's efforts have already had an impact on the blogosphere. Lou Minatti has a good fisking (hat tip: lgf) of MeatHead's debut on Huffington's Featured Posts.

Also, fellow San Diegan Dale Franks takes on HBO Sports commentator Jim Lampley over at QandO Blog. Apparently, Jim Lampley believes Bush stole the 2004 election (in addition to the 2000 election, I'm sure) and that it's The Biggest Story of Our Lives. Mr. Franks uses another term for it:

Is anyone surprised that it took less than 48 hours for the Huffington Post to descend into moonbattery?

I am actually surprised by the volume of known names she is getting on her site. I have to give credit where credit is due. Arianna Huffington has actually had a successful launch. Now, whether or not she can sustain it and have an impact on the blogosphere is yet to be seen. For now, I must admit some appreciation of her participation.

UPDATE: Wizbang is also mocking Lampley's take on the Rovian plot to manipulate the Kentucky Derby and ultimately, the Triple Crown.
